” I was still in this really emotionless focused state as the gold medal fight concluded, but as I turned around to face Mark (my opposition) for the formalities of ending the fight, the bulk of the crowd happened to be placed behind him and they were going nuts!
I have this really strong memory of the emotionless focus being squeezed out and replaced by a silly grin forcing itself onto my face that just wouldn’t go away!”
